WWP was founded in 2013 by entrepreneur and former journalist Josh Wilson with an original mandate to develop and produce innovative, ground-breaking content for major brands and companies in the UK and internationally.
The company already works with several of the UK’s terrestrial and non-terrestrial broadcasters, primarily focusing on scripted drama, factual and branded content. WWP is currently also developing work in international markets for foreign networks and VR.
WWP has a strong belief in supporting creativity and endeavour to attract and support the best in on-screen, writing and production talent from both the UK and abroad.
The company boasts five full time employees and eight contracted members of staff. Of the five full time employees, four are from the Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) community.
Josh states: “It is no secret that there is a lack of opportunities that the BAME community have in the television and film industry, being both under-employed and under-represented. WWP promotes diversity and our fantastic achievements in 2017 will hopefully be a sign that things are beginning to change.”
Josh has more than seven years’ experience in the broadcast industry, first as a multi-platform journalist covering stories at MBI before becoming an executive producer in television. In 2017 Josh became the first person to chair an entire day’s events at BVE - the UK’s leading entertainment and media tech event.
This year Josh also conceived the charity Genisys in order to develop and fund 18-25 year old’s looking to progress and develop a career. The charity is focusing on improving the skills and entrepreneurship of these individuals not solely in media but across a number of industries.
