Clafin has worked on films including ‘Me Before You’, ‘Love Rosie’ and ‘Peaky Blinders’.
The film began development in September 2015 when Sony opted to reboot the series.
It was announced in July 2018 that Kristen Stewardt, Naomi Scott and Ella Balinska were the three angels.
Principal photography took place in September 2018, finishing in December 2018.
Filming took place in Hamburg and Turkey.
Drew Barrymore a previous angel is an executive producer.
This version of Charlie’s Angels contains guns and explosives. The previous films didn’t include these weapons at the insistence of producer and star Drew Barrymore. The previous Angels relied on their own martial arts skills.
The blue race car uniform from the 2000 film is seen in the wardrobe of this film.
Elizabeth Banks is the first female ‘Bosley’ as well as the first former Angel to assume the role.
In some scenes photos of the original angels and those from the reboot are seen including all former angels.
The release date was pushed back so that it would not be in competition with ‘Terminator: Dark Fate’.
The first trailer was released in June 2019.
Kristen Stewart said that “The reboot won’t feel out of place in the post-#MeToo world. It’s girl power with a gang to back you up.”
Kristen Stewart and Sam Clafin have worked on ‘Snow White and the Huntsman’ before working together again on ‘Charlie’s Angels’.
Ariana Grande produced the soundtrack for the Charlie’s Angels film.
The film has reportedly done quite badly in the box office so far in the USA, Banks said, “First of all, everyone that sees the movie loves the movie. I think that we had a problem with just, like, no one knew it was out.”
